It's Go Time.

Have you ever woken up and just known you were going to accomplish something big that day? This morning was like that for me. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I know I had way to much energy for a Monday to NOT be productive. One text to Emily and I couldn't hit the brakes. We decided on a name. THAT feels real. And that was almost all I needed to hit the ground running.

I built a website, reserved an Insta account and drudged through the headache-inducing process of forming a legal entity in the state of Texas. Then I completed subsequent headache-inducing forms and mailed them off!

We've been planning this for months; we've had lots of ideas but nothing was gaining traction. Until today. That name cemented and the dominoes fell. We're ready to start building this community and we would love nothing more than for YOU to be a part of it.

Join us as we become foster parents. But don't get too confused... "we" refers to Emily & EP. Emily is in Michigan. EP is in Texas. We're both in for a ride and consciously stepping into the lifestyle foster parenting. We want to build and publicize real-time, firsthand accounts of everything foster related. First thoughts about it, first orientation, first training, first placement. First night with a new placement. First court hearing. We'll tell you what it's really like in the moment. We were tired of finding the feedback out there that was all reflective; it's inevitably washed with time or experience and masked with some type of bias. These stories are in the here and now.
